2017: Our First Year

When we started broadcasting TLDCasts on March 16th, we didn’t know if we’d get to 200 or 100 or even 50. But here we are 200 episodes later, and we’re not slowing down! More Connection, more Discussion, more ways to get better at what you do every day — that’s what’s ahead for 2018.

Number 1: Ray Jimenez

 

Ray Jimenez is the Chief Learning Architect and Founder of VignettesLearning.com. He designed the principal architecture of TrainingMagNetwork.com, with over 100,000 members.

Number 2: Melissa Milloway

Melissa Milloway is a Technical Curriculum Developer at Amazon, where she specializes in designing and developing digital learning experiences. She was selected as a “30 Under 30” learning leader for Elliott Masie’s Learning 2014 conference and is also an avid blogger in the industry.

Number 3: Dan Keckan

Dan Keckan is Vice President of eLearning and Instructional Design at Cinecraft Productions, the country’s oldest industrial film studio. Growing up in his family business his expertise was craft services and licking stamps. Today his expertise is in matching learning modalities to the actual skill or behavior that creates an authentic simulation.

Number 4: Host Cara North: The Role of Higher Education in Learning and Development

Many learning and development professionals “fell” into their role.  What is the role of higher education in shaping the field of learning and development? Richard joined Lockheed Martin in 2007 with the acquisition of 3Dsolve, a North Carolina based computer game technology firm where he was founder and CEO.

Number 7: Mike Taylor

Mike Taylor directs learning technology and online learning at Mindset Digital in Columbus, Ohio. He has over 20 years of experience successfully developing and deploying a wide variety of learning strategies and technologies. Mike holds an MBA from Ohio University and a Master’s in EdTech from San Diego State University.

Number 8: Connie Malamed

Connie Malamed (a.k.a. The eLearning Coach) is a consultant, author, and professional speaker in the fields of online learning and visual communication. She has helped nonprofit, government, and corporate clients develop strategies for workplace learning for more than 20 years. Connie is the author of 2 books: Visual Design Solutions and Visual Language for Designers.

Number 9: Tom Adams

We had a great start to our Member Day discussion series. Tom explained his current training situation and let the group triage with solutions and direction. Tom is tasked with implementing an LMS in a company with a large amount of PDF and video based training in an open source LMS platform. The time is short and the project is immense.
