Author and Learning Consultant Margie Meacham first became interested in helping people learn when she was a little girl struggling with first grade. While she didn’t discover it until much later, Margie is dyslexic and was finding it hard to keep up with her classmates. Eventually she figured out how her mind worked and graduated high school as her class valedictorian and summa cum laude from her Bachelor and Master’s level programs.
Today, she teaches instructional designers, trainers, speakers and leaders how to design and deliver training that is compelling, memorable and immediately useful by applying the latest discoveries from the field of neuroscience.
The author of “Brain Matters: How to help anyone learn anything using neuroscience” believes that if you understand how the brain works you can become a better teacher, trainer, leader, spouse or parent and have more fun doing it.
Margie is the Chief Freedom Officer of Learningtogo and writes a popular blog on the science of learning. Her podcast was voted in the Top 10 for Learning Professionals and is available on her site and iTunes. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and active member of The Learning and Development Community (TLDC). She was recognized by the World Training Congress as a Top 100 Most Innovative designer and has won the Training Magazine Top 125 award for exceptional instructional design.
